The facility implements LEED design techniques, including a geothermal heating and cooling system in order to maintain low operational costs. Structural systems were selected to provide an economical structure without compromising long-term durability. Systems chosen include a structural steel superstructure, precast hollowcore floors, and cast-in-place concrete spread bore piles.
